from the motor. In the case of the XR650R this is somewhat of a
nuisance due to the location of the drain bolt in relation to the
frame rail. It is messy and can take up precious time and if you
run a skid plate you will double your time and mess. If you own
an XR650R you know what I mean.

The
ManFunnel was designed to put an end to this headache once and for
all. Never again remove the skid plate to change your oil.
The funnel is heat stablized injection molded plastic so it is going
to last. Take a look at the following pictures to see how it actually

| Step
1: Proper Fit
After
cleaning any dirt from the underside of the bike that may
prevent proper fitting. Heat the bike per specification in
owners manual. Then install the funnel as shown. (see
image 1 & 2)

A
proper fit is key to success. Ensure that the funnel clips
on to the frame and seals properly.

Getting
the funnel to seat around the drain bolt contour in the
case will ensure a no mess oil change. (view from underside)

Step
2: Drain the Oil
Put your drain pan under the funnel and remove
the drain bolts. Allow oil to drain completely.

Step
3: Install
the Drain Bolts
Reinstall both drain bolts
to specified torque.

Step
4: Fill With Oil
Use the ManFunnel to fill the
motor oil. Remove dipstick and insert ManFunnel into the down
tube fill hole. Pour in your new oil as per specified by your
manual for both type and amount. By using the funnel for filling
you reduce the risk of knocking dirt and or debris into the
down tube with your oil and it is much easier and cleaner
than pouring from a bottle or ratio cup. |
