Review -- CR450F ManFunnel
The bottom line is this is one of those things that
is just a great little addition to the toolbox. Not essential but
it sure makes life easier. The thing I really like about it is 1)
It worked perfect out of the bag, 2) I can change the oil with the
bike on the stand, 3) the splash guard, and 4) it saves a lot of
time. After heating the bike up I can have the oil draining in about
45 seconds and walk away to let it drain. Come back in a few minutes
and install the splash guard and kick the bike over to flush any
left over oil in the cases, install the drain bolts and I am ready
to fill it back up.

Motocross New Bike Wish List, November 2003-- CR450F ManFunnel
Okay, you have to admit, The ManFunnel is probably
not a product name for guys who aren't entirely comfortable with
their masculinity, but it's actually a pretty cool item. Anyone
who has spent time trying to drain oil from a CRF450R will appreciate
it. It clips onto the frame and routes the oil out and away from
the bike. There's even a splash guard that will help prevent wall
splatter. Your wife will appreciate that when you are working on
yourbike in the kitchen. Billy Frank, the creator of the ManFunnel
is working on funnels for other models, so check his site for availability.

Rider Magazine New Products Gear Bag, October 2003 -- CR450F ManFunnel
This $15.99 multipurpose piece of plastic is designed
to make life easier for CRF450R owners. It works as both a drain
and fill funnel and easily negotiates the complexities of the Honda
motor, allowing the oil to reach the engine or transmission effortlessly
and be drained with equal simplicity.

Jones -- CRF250 ManFunnel
Hi, this is Yogurt from the DRN forums. I just used the Man Funnel
for the first time today on my CRF250. Overall I was quite satisfied
with the fit and finish of the product. I found that I didn't get
quite a 100% seal on the tranny oil drain. Perhaps it could have
been user error. It is somewhat hard to get it to fit just right.
But it is also understandable because there is such a tight fit
between the drain bolt and the left side case cover. I found it
very helpful for filling both the trany and engine oil. Today was
my first time using it, so I'm sure the next time will go even smoother.
As time goes on, I may question the durability of the plastic where
it meets drain opening. After one use, the plastic has slightly
become "damaged" for lack of a better word. And I was
being gentle and not forcing anything. I think it will work just
fine. Overall I am happy with my purchase, and would recommend it
to other 4-stroke owners.

Best 20 bucks I've ever spent! Used it for the first time last weekend.
Billy.........I hope you become a millionaire for inventing this
device!!! Thanks for making an oil change fun for my CRF 450!!

My ManFunnel works awesome! And the coolest thing is I can use a
Gatorade jug at the track for quick and easy oil change with no
mess. I'd like to see a CRF owner try this without a ManFunnel -
good luck! Haha! Sweet product Billy - thanks man!

Duranczyk -- 3 time District 17 Womens MX Champ -- YZ250F ManFunnel
I have been waiting for this product ever since the CRF ManFunnel
came out a year ago! So I ordered my 250F ManFunnel as soon as I
saw that they were available. As I expected, it's awesome! It fits
great on both the frame bolt and the shifter bolt and it works perfect.
No more oil mess down my frame, on my stand, on the shop floor,
or on my hands. Just clip the funnel, pull the bolt, and let it
do the rest of the work. Plus you can use the funnel to refill the
bike as well. I have a whole new outlook on changing my oil! Good
work Billy!

I like the manfunnel but I only use it for emptying
the oil. I prefer my long slender funnel for filling (I also like
to have one funnel for filling and one for emptying). I had some
problems at first with the foam between my glide plate and cases
getting in the way but I was able to get that worked out. All in
all, I would not want to change my oil without it again.

I just tried my new Manfunnel on my 2003 YZ450F. It works for the
front drain on the frames down tube. Simple, CLEAN, Fast. The oil
went where it was supposed to no surprises and no mess to clean
up. Thanks Billy.

Met you at gorman, and bought a couple manfunnels. I had heard about
them on line(thumper talk.com). People really liked it but some
thought it had a funny name lol, but i think it is great. I have
even started to show it to others at the tracks. Last Sunday at
gorman we even changed a couple guys oil. And so far nobody seems
to be able to read their manual. You guessed it-nobody (out of 12
people)
knew to crank it a couple of times to get that last bit of oil out.
I think it is great; quicker, easier changes and less time and less
mess. thanks again.

Thanks for the tour yesterday and setting me up with an additional
Man Funnel which I pass along to Nigel the lead service tech at
Spectrum. I also introduced it to Adrian Stanner the Parts Manager
(It‚s something he is interested in stocking) as well as various
individuals through out Spectrum. They all had the same reaction:
positive and willing to sell it.

Hey, I just got mine and this thing ROCKS! I hated oil changes untill
now. This thing makes it much easier and much less messy. Also,
when I called and ordered mine it got to me super fast. This is
a "must have" for CRF owners.

What a great idea! Mine works outstanding. Keep up the good work.

Looking forward to more innovative products from you.

Billy, I just changed the oil on my CRF450 for the first time using
your ManFunnel. It works great and is simply awesome! Great idea,
great product and a must have for anyone who runs a skid plate on
their bike!

Hello Billy, I purchased the funnel last week, along with 3 for
friends. While I did post my opinion of it on the Thumpertalk board,
here's my input based on first change. Perfect. Fit just right,
didn't leak, missed the skidplate bracket by about 1 mm (Works Connection).
The saved paper towels should pay for this thing in no time. Be
sure to get one to my buddy Paul Kellen. He's all thumbs and could
use any help he can get ;) Thanks again for shipping them out so
quickly and doing the job right,
Sandie

Billy, Just wanted to let you know that I received the funnel
today, just in time to wrap it up for our anniversary tomorrow!
(of course, I have to go out and buy the paper and a card tomorrow
too!!) Great doing business with you. I hope you have much success,
keep up the excellent customer service!
Gary
Billy, My bike came home today along with two more XR650R‚s,
so I rode them around my yard to warm them up and then I changed
the oil on all of them. There were two 2001 XR650R‚s and one
2002 XR650R and the funnel worked perfectly on all three. I really
like how the lip fits around the drain bolt‚s contour to prevent
drips because there was not a single drip anywhere and the funnel
stayed perfectly in place by itself and was plenty secure (nice
work!)
Robert
Billy,
Great to hear the funnel will fit on the 2004's. The funnel arrived
today at lunchtime!!! And I live in Arkansas. Can you believe that?
Fed-X can't even get stuff here that quickly. Again, best of luck
to you and this great product.

Hello! I recently purchased the man funnel for my 03 CRF450. AWESOME
IDEA! Having a skid plate on my bike this is a real time saver and
avoids a big mess. One thing I wanted to mention. The supplied foam
with the sticky back. The sticky part is on the wrong side of the
foam. Not a big deal . I managed to get it to work with some of
the same foam that I bought down town. Just thought I would let
you know in case other ones are the same.
